Sterling takes fresh hit from weak figures
Latest poor economic data could complicate Bank of England's rates debate
Sterling weakened again this morning against the euro, losing almost 0.5 per cent after more disappointing British economic figures appeared to complicate the Bank of England’s debate on whether or not to raise interest rates.
The euro was worth around 88.4p against sterling, having started the day at 88p.
