A new report from the Central Statistics Office contains a wealth of information on the state of Irish society.

The Statistics Yearbook of Ireland 2016 is mostly compiled from full-year data from 2015 but also includes information from Census 2016.

As well as the familiar economic data, the figures chart the wider changes in Irish society over the past few years.
