State’s medicine supply deal is extended to July
The pharma sector has agreed to delay new negotiations to create certainty during the ongoing pandemic
The pharmaceutical industry has agreed another six-month extension to its medicine supply deal with the state, the Business Post has learned.
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), which represents the country’s biopharmaceutical industry, reached an original extension deal with the HSE and the Department of Health back in July that ended in January.
Following the pressure on health authorities due to the third wave of Covid-19, the IPHA last week agreed to a further extension.
