State to make emergency accommodation costs available to worst-hit mica families

The government is planning to make emergency funding available to around a dozen Donegal families whose houses are particularly badly damaged by defective blocks, the Business Post understands.

Darragh O’Brien, the Housing Minister, is to meet with representatives from Donegal County Council later today to discuss issues facing those living in homes which have been frequently labelled unsafe and uninhabitable by councillors and activists.
