Mobile operator boss requested meeting with Paschal Donohoe to discuss relief for airwaves licences

State finance officials have rebuffed Vodafone’s plea for multimillion-euro tax relief on mobile services auctions.

Last year, Vodafone Ireland boss Anne O’Leary requested a meeting with Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe to discuss tax relief for spectrum licences – the airwaves used to carry mobile signals.
