The operators of the Luas Cross City came under pressure to begin operating the Dublin tram service earlier than planned, new documents reveal.

Transdev was asked by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) last year if it would be able to begin services on the cross-city tram route on November 30. But the company rejected this request, saying it increased technical and operational risk.
