A woman has alleged that Bank of Ireland allowed her estranged father to stalk her using data obtained from the bank

Bank of Ireland had to alter its IT system to “further restrict” access to confidential financial information after a woman alleged that the lender had allowed her estranged father to stalk her using banking data.

The woman alleges that her father obtained data from a Bank of Ireland transaction history report, which detailed specific ATM use, to trace her whereabouts in Spain and England.
