Soros clashes with watchdog over Amnesty donation

The billionaire financier George Soros’s Open Society Foundation has denied telling the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) that it had donated money to Amnesty for “explicitly political purposes”.

The Open Society had donated €137,000 to Amnesty for its ‘My Body, My Rights’ campaign, which ran from January 2016 to December 2017.
