Son of kidnapped supermarket boss Tidey made bankrupt by Cerberus

A US vulture fund has secured a High Court order pushing Alistair Tidey, son of the kidnapped supermarket executive Don Tidey, into bankruptcy.

Cerberus offshoot Promontoria previously sought summary judgment in the Commercial Court against the businessman for €3.49 million over allegedly unpaid property loans and other investments.

The bankruptcy adjudication was made last week against Tidey (52) who has an address at Mount Eagle, Vico Road, Co Dublin.
