The well-known solicitor Gerald Kean is facing a legal bill of more than €500,000, after the High Court found that he made a false statement and gave double undertakings to banks on properties owned by his ex-girlfriend.

Kean, a lawyer well known for his television appearances, did not give evidence during the case which lasted ten days at hearing.
