Social media companies should be forced to reveal how they monitor and the extent to which they fail to remove harmful content, the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) has said. The government is shaping new laws to make companies take down certain content, but the ICCL said a requirement of disclosure around this decision-making was also needed.
