Social media giants fail to act on hate speech

Facebook and Twitter did not act on calls from members of an anti-racism partner organisation to remove comments inciting violence and hatred against minorities in Ireland, a Sunday Business Post investigation has found.

The companies are among the social media firms who signed up to the European Commission code of conduct to counter the spread of hate speech online.
