Party members critical of decision to attack Michael D Higgins as part of a campaign strategy
Sinn Féin’s review of its disastrous presidential election campaign has uncovered a series of mistakes by the party.
The review was carried out on a 32-county basis by key party figures, including Kerry TD Martin Ferris and Dublin Bay North TD Denise Mitchell. There was also a five-hour meeting of the Sinn Féin parliamentary party where criticisms of the election strategy were aired.
