Simon Harris, the Minister for Further Education, wants Fine Gael to work harder on improving public support for the party rather than seeking a change at the top.

Speaking with Colm Ó Mongáin on RTÉ’s Today programme on Thursday, Harris deflected when asked if he would be interested in the role of party leader.
