Shannon-Dublin water project must be delivered, say engineers

As Irish Water struggles to maintain suppliesduring the current heatwave, the body which represents engineers in Ireland has given the country’s water and flooding infrastructure a C or ‘mediocre’ grade.

Engineers Ireland’s latest State of Ireland report on the country’s infrastructure says the water and flood prevention systems are “inadequately maintained, unable to meet peak demand and requiring significant investment”.
