Ryanair’s passenger traffic soars by 69% in January

The airline recorded strong profits in the final three months of 2022 with strong demand for travel as lockdowns were lifted

Ryanair carried 11.8 million guests in January, a 69 per cent increase on the same month last year, as the travel industry continues to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ryanair passenger traffic in January 2022 was seven million people, with the airline impacted by Omicron restrictions in Europe, it said.

Ryanair’s load factor for January this year was 91 per cent, up from 79 per cent the company said.
