Ryanair’s O’Leary cashes in share options to tune of €4.1m

The airline boss exercised the shares at a price of €8.345 before selling them at €12.50, according to stock exchange filings

Michael O’Leary, the chief executive of Ryanair, has made €4.1 million on the exercise of share options, stock exchange filings show.

O’Leary is entitled to options to buy shares in the airline as part of his performance-related pay, and was granted a million shares last week.

He exercised those shares — ie, bought the options — at a price of €8.345, and sold them at a price of €12.50.
