The High Court has granted Ryanair an “11th hour” widening of its multimillion euro damages action against Revenue and the state over the abandoned air travel tax (ATT).

Justice Max Barrett allowed the airline to substantially expand its pleadings despite concerns raised by the state parties that it would derail the timing of the upcoming trial.
