Colum and Ciarán Butler paid a reported €330,000 for a kiosk in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, last week. But is it just a marketing exercise, as industry insiders believe?

In 2008, Colum Butler, who along with his brother Ciarán operates 76 Starbucks coffee shops on the island of Ireland, gave a rare interview to the authors of a book called That’ll Never Work: Success Stories from Private Irish Business.
