Trawl signals clampdown on Apple-style arrangements

The Revenue Commissioners have launched a major review of hundreds of secretive tax arrangements granted to multinationals and corporations, as the state attempts to limit the fallout of the €13 billion Apple tax ruling.

The Irish tax authority has begun contacting companies which received so called ‘tax opinions’ prior to 2012, and has signalled that it may begin examining more recent rulings shortly.
