The decision by Amazon to pull out of locating part of its HQ in New York is the latest upheaval in the life of its founder Jeff Bezos. Currently mired in a scandal over intimate pictures of himself and his mistress, the mogul claims he’s the victim of score-settling by the National Enquirer
It’s been a rocky start to 2019 for Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, owner of the Washington Post and, as a late-night comic recently put it, “the world’s richest free range egg”. Weeks of uninterrupted turbulence chez Bezos have yielded a slew of tabloid headlines, from ‘Bezos Exposes Pecker’ to last week’s ‘Fuhgeddaboudit!’, a reference to Amazon’s announcement that it was abandoning plans to open part of its headquarters in New York.
