A scheme to allow offenders to give apologies and compensation to their victims is due to be rolled out nationwide.

The restorative justice project aims to right the wrongs suffered by victims by getting offenders to repair the damage they have done. This can involve compensation payments, direct or written apologies from the offender or community work.
