Report into alleged conflicts of interest at An Bord Pleanála referred to DPP and Gardaí

A report into allegations of conflicts of interest relating to Paul Hyde, the former deputy chair of An Bord Pleanála, has been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), An Garda Síochana and the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO).

In a statement this evening, the Department of Housing said the report, completed by senior counsel Remy Farrell last month, had been referred to the authorities on the advice of the Attorney General.
