Rental pressure was a key part of the problems faced by Joe Macken’s Jo’Burger restaurant group which shut down suddenly this month during the most lucrative quarter of the year.

Macken’s much-praised Hey Donna venue on Dublin’s Dame Street was several months in arrears to its landlord, a firm in which businessman Jerry Conlan and US investor Grand Coast Capital are involved confirmed.
