Callouts up 34 per cent as rats flee cold weather

Professional ratcatchers Rentokil have reported a 34 per cent increase in callouts since September, over the same period in 2014.

Rentokil technical manager Dr Colm Moore warned that rodents are attempting to move indoors as temperatures drop.

He said that mice and rats can gnaw through wood and will enter through a hole as small as one centimetre.
