Pyrite has been discovered in ten homes in an upmarket Dublin housing estate.

The homes in the Farmleigh Woods estate in Castleknock were built in 2006.

The owners are seeking to have their homes repaired through the Pyrite Resolution Board, a scheme run by the government’s housing agency.

Last week, the government earmarked €22 million to remediate 400 homes affected by pyrite.
