Publican faces eviction over landlord’s debt

A publican facing eviction from a bar off Grafton Street in Dublin, arising from a €6.2 million debt owed by the landlord, has failed to provide evidence that rent has been paid, a court has heard.

Receivers appointed by vulture fund Havbell are seeking urgent vacant possession of O’Donoghue’s bar on Suffolk Street from Markey Pubs Ltd, owned by Des Markey.
