Public to be banned from social media in court

Members of the public are to be banned from texting and tweeting from court, under new rules announced by Chief Justice Frank Clarke.

Live texting and social media from a court case is to be limited to lawyers and bona fide members of the media over concerns about the integrity of the trial process.
