Probe of FAI relates to ‘substantial’ issues, warned Sport Ireland

Letters flew between the FAI and Sport Ireland in the weeks after the controversial €100,000 loan by chief executive John Delaney to the FAI was revealed by the Sunday Times on March 18

Sport Ireland warned minister Shane Ross’s department that issues involved in the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) inquiry into the FAI are “substantial” and of concern, records released under freedom of information legislation show.
