Penneys owner Primark, which celebrates 50 years in business this month, is under scrutiny for work practices uncovered at supplier factories in Sri Lanka.

Since the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh in 2013, Primark has made sustained efforts to improve oversight of conditions at the factories used to make its affordable fast-fashion clothing.
