Silicon Valley scooter-sharing companies are set to lobby the government to allow them to operate in Ireland.

Shane Ross opened a public consultation on “Powered Personal Transporters” last week which include e-scooters, electric skateboards and similar vehicles. Under current road traffic legislation, the use of these mechanically propelled vehicles is illegal on public roads and in public places.
