Planned sale of Mater Private is called off

South African bid was put at €500m

The planned sale of the Mater Private to a South African healthcare company has been called off at a late stage, The Sunday Business Post understands.

NetCare, a major South African hospital, clinic and pharmacy owner was bidding in the region of €500 million for the Dublin hospital, where Seamus Fitzpatrick’s CapVest and beef magnate Larry Goodman are investors. Investec was advising NetCare.
