Plan for 170km Shannon-Dublin water pipeline will be reviewed

A plan to build a 170-kilometre pipeline to bring water from Shannon to Dublin has been sent for review by Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy.

Murphy confirmed last week that, given “the scale and importance” of the €1.3 billion proposal, he had requested the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (CRU) to carry out a review of the Eastern and Midlands Water Supply Project.
