Pfizer warned government over changes to corporate tax

Pharmaceutical giant said elements of the plan to overhaul tax rules would create ‘winners and losers’

Pfizer warned the Department of Finance that an historic overhaul of global corporate tax rules would create “losers and winners” and lead to administrative headaches for businesses.

The pharmaceutical giant told officials in June it had concerns over elements of the OECD-led plan to change how companies pay tax, and noted that tax was one of the main factors that had led to it investing in Ireland over recent years.
