Paul Reid to step down as HSE chief executive in December

Reid, who led the health service throughout the pandemic, said he had no immediate career plans

Paul Reid, the CEO of the Health Service Executive, is to stand down from his role later this year, it was announced this morning.

Reid, who was appointed to his role in April 2019, advised the HSE’s chairman, the board of the HSE, and Stephen Donnelly, the Minister for Health, that he would stepping down from his role in December.
