Patreon, the subscription company that helps artists sell their work to customers, is closing its Dublin office as part of cost-cutting plans to lay off nearly a fifth of its workforce.

The US-headquartered tech business announced the news – which will end its Irish operation just three years after it was established – in a memo to staff yesterday afternoon.
