Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Finance, has formally submitted his candidacy for a second term as President of the Eurogroup.

Donohoe, who is expected to take over the portfolio of Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform in the upcoming Cabinet reshuffle, said on Monday he was committed to “further strengthening our banking union” at the helm of the informal group of 19 finance ministers.
