Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Public Expenditure, has called for the introduction of the “digital euro” to boost the EU’s single market.
During his St Patrick’s Day tour to Berlin, he said that the European single market with its free movement of goods and services was one of Europe’s finest achievements and was worth an estimated €30 billion annually to Ireland alone.
