Eamon Waters now holds 3.25 per cent of the shares in the bank

The acquisition of shares comes as the state continues its process of selling down its own stake in the Irish bank sector

Eamon Waters, the founder of Panda Waste, has built an almost €40 million stake in Permanent TSB, new stock exchange filings show.

Waters now holds 3.25 per cent of the shares in the bank through his personal investment vehicle, Sretaw Private Equity.
