Overwhelming majority of consumers expect restaurants to hike prices

New report shows Irish consumers are more nervous than those in other countries about still-high inflation levels

Eight in every ten Irish consumers expect a further increase in the cost of eating out, amid consistent concerns over the impact of inflation on restaurants and pubs, according to a new report.

A consumer tracker published by Deloitte found that while consumer sentiment has improved in 2023 compared to the end of last year, many people are still nervous about their ability to pay for goods and services.
