The World Bank announced a package of loans and grants for Ukraine totalling $723 million (€663 million) in a bid to help the country as it attempts to fend off the Russian invasion. The package, approved by the bank’s executive board, includes a $350 million loan supplement to a previous World Bank loan, swelled by about $139 million through guarantees from the Netherlands and Sweden.
