Traditional school roll book to be phased out
Education minister Jan O’Sullivan is phasing out the traditional school roll book which has been used for more than 90 years.
Generations of primary school children have been saying “Anseo” every morning to have their attendance recorded in the “leabhar rolla”. But O’Sullivan has now told schools that from this September, they can swap over to an electronic attendance system.
