Only two hours allotted to debate on €3.65bn mica blocks bill

Just two hours will be allocated to debating the state’s €3.65 billion mica bill next week, despite calls from opposition parties for a full cross-party committee hearing, it has emerged.

Members of the Oireachtas housing committee last week asked the Dáil’s business committee to allocate a slot next week to discuss the bill. It comes after significant criticism of the bill from some opposition TDs and affected homeowners.
