ODCE launches criminal investigation into doctors’ group

The NAGP went into liquidation leaving €400,000 in debts in May, soon after this newspaper reported on the explosive financial transactions that had ripped the organisation apart

A criminal investigation has been launched into the National Association of General Practitioners (NAGP) which claimed more than 2,000 members and now operates as the Alliance of Family Doctors. The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) and members of the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau – the former Fraud Squad – have initiated an investigation into the large GP representative group that was previously headed up by Chris Goodey.
