NTA ruling sees Leap card holders save one fifth on cash fare

Today's 2017 fare determination from the National Transport Authority has increasedthe differential between Leap and cash fares to a massive 20 per cent.

This means Leap fares are actually cheaper than cash fares pre-2011 – those who stick with cash will pay one fifth more for their journey.

The ruling will also see Leap card student discounts on public transport at 30 per cent and child discounts at 50 per cent.
