Extra cash and an emboldened marketing campaign are being used to bolster Northern Irish tourism in 2019, as the industry tries to ensure that the surge in the numbers of tourists from across the border isn’t reversed by Brexit.
After investing £2 million a year between 2016 and 2018 in marketing the North to tourists from the South, Tourism NI is now braced for Brexit amid concerns that visitors might once again be discouraged from crossing the border.
