No €35m bailout for RTÉ without major reforms says Taoiseach Leo Varadkar

There will be no bailout for RTÉ this year or next unless the national broadcaster implements reforms to its corporate governance, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said.
In the context of RTÉ seeking a bailout of at least €35 million this year, Varadkar said before the Government can sanction any additional funding, it needs to see wide-ranging reforms and a new strategy from Director General Kevin Bakhurst.
