Developers behind a major project in Newmarket Square in Dublin have been asked by the council to clarify why “fundamental” changes are being proposed to the approved plan – including omission of a mandatory indoor market.

Newmarket Square was home to a number of pop-up markets until June last year, including the Dublin Flea Market, the Brocante, Fusion Sundays, Newmarket Collective and the Pure Vintage Fair.
