As one of Ireland’s best known social media influencers, Suzanne Jackson has faced criticism that she simply slapped her name on a product to cash in on her fame.

But as she steps down from her role as chief executive of SOSU Cosmetics, Jackson is tackling what she describes as “misconceptions” about her level of involvement in the growth of the company.

“I’ve heard comments like ‘she has a distributor who does everything, she does nothing, she just throws her name on products’. I’ve heard it all. It’s not true,” Jackson told the Business Post. “I am engrossed, and was engrossed, in the business. I eat, sleep and drink every single aspect of it. I’m always switched on because I’m such a perfectionist.”
