New film adaptation of Sebastian Barry’s novel raises €7.3 million from shareholder funding round

The production company behind The Secret Scripture, an Irish film which features some

notable Hollywood talent, has raised €7.3 million from its existing shareholders.

A group of investors, collectively known as Canco Nominees Ltd, bought over 3.6

million ordinary shares in Scripture Productions, at €2 per share.

The directors of Scripture Productions are Noel Pearson and Rosemary Roche. Pearson,
